Southtree is a mail-in digitization service run by AMB Media LLC of Chattanooga, Tennessee, which also runs Kodak Digitizing Box under license — the same company behind Legacybox. You order a kit, pack your physical tapes, ship them off, and get digital files back on a USB drive or via download. Southtree's published window: about 4–6 weeks from when they receive your filled kit, with shipping each way on top.
That part works. The problem is what they hand back: one long file per tape. Two hours of VHS becomes one two-hour MP4 with no chapters, no labels, no dates.
