Terms of Service

TapeSave is a video processing service. You upload a digitized video file (typically from a VHS tape), and we split it into individual clips, recover the original recording dates when possible, and generate descriptions. You then download the organized clips.

TapeSave uses a credit-based system. One credit = one video file, regardless of length. Whether your tape is 30 minutes or 6 hours, it's one credit. Credits are purchased in advance through our website.

Once processing begins on your video, we cannot offer a refund for that credit. However, we stand behind our work. If you're not satisfied with the results, email us at help@tapesave.com and we'll reprocess your video at no additional charge. We want you to be happy with the result.

Unused credits can be refunded at any time — just reach out.

You own everything you upload and everything we produce from it. We don't claim any rights to your videos, clips, descriptions, or any other content. Your family memories are yours.

All uploaded files and processed clips are automatically deleted after 30 days. We recommend downloading your clips as soon as they're ready. After deletion, we cannot recover your files.

Please use TapeSave for its intended purpose: organizing your personal home videos. Don't upload content you don't have the rights to, and don't use the service for anything illegal.

TapeSave is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may also update or change the service from time to time to make it better.

While we take great care with your videos, TapeSave is not responsible for data loss beyond the value of the credits purchased. We strongly recommend keeping your original digitized files as a backup.
